As a part of people fleeing the war in Ukraine wants to stay in Slovakia for a long term or to settle down here, registration of residence permits is highly demanded and for some people, it may signify more stable living conditions in Slovakia.

Adults who want to find a suitable job and earn living for their families, those who have children already studying at Slovak schools, family members who want to be reunited with their relatives already living in Slovakia, or people starting a business in Slovakia – all of them can consider pros and cons of their options and take a responsible decision about their future based upon this information.

Around two dozen people from Ukraine benefited from information at workshops that IOM held in Gabcikovo on 24 November and on 8 December 2022.
