IOM Slovakia in coordination with partners provides information and counselling to conflict-affected people fleeing Ukraine that have been living in Gabčíkovo Accommodation Facility that is currently housing over 700 people who fled war in Ukraine.

On a daily basis, IOM provides there basic legal, social and labour counselling, shares referral to relevant services, information on how to apply for Temporary Refuge, and raises awareness of the risks of trafficking in human beings.
From the very first days to 3 May 2022, IOM has provided this in-person immediate assistance in border points of entry and centres in Vyšné Nemecké, Ubľa, Michalovce, Košice and Gabčíkovo to more than 1,980 beneficiaries crossing into Slovakia.
