Since 22 November 2022, IOM has distributed black felted boots to people over 60 years that fled the war in Ukraine and found a safe shelter in the Gabcikovo Accommodation Facility.

Within one day over 50 pairs were handed over to the first group of more than 90 elderly people currently living in the facility.

People in their situation usually have lower pension income, often live alone without family or other financial support. In upcoming winter and cold weather conditions, this vital winter clothing support will help them to spend this season in better health conditions.
