Thanks to the cooperation of IOM and the Cultural centre Aktivity, people who fled the war in Ukraine and currently live in Trencin region will be better prepared for the winter months coming.

In October 2022, IOM delivered to the Cultural centre Aktivity in Trencin 63 appliances such as electric heaters, electric double hot plates for cooking and washing machines, more than 1200 pieces of kitchen utilities such as pans and pots, plates, cutlery, and more than 600 pieces of hygienic supplies.

The donation will help people who fled the war in Ukraine, mostly women and children and who found a temporary shelter in accommodation facilities in Trencin and its surroundings. The kitchen utilities have been distributed directly to the beneficiaries from Ukraine as the shared kitchens in the accommodation facilities often lack basic kitchen accessories. The Cultural centre Aktivity will be responsible for a continuous management of the access to equipment which was delivered so that it is at the disposal of people from Ukraine staying in various accommodation facilities.
