On 29 July and 9 August 2022, IOM in coordination with the District Office in the town Martin donated another two batches of humanitarian aid to the Community Distribution Centre in Martin for people from Ukraine to secure their basic needs in personal hygiene and clothing, as well as equip them with basic kitchen tools and cleaning supplies.

The Centre in Martin provides assistance to war-affected people that found temporary refuge in the town Martin located in the central-north of Slovakia. The aid from IOM is being distributed in the heart of the town where the Community Centre and its clothing distribution facility operate. Some of the aid has also been allocated for the daily needs of refugees living in the Accommodation Facility.

IOM handed over to the centre 3,245 pieces of clothes, 3,800 hygiene kits for children, women and men, 1,090 kitchen sets and 1,675 cleaning sets.
