IOM has been present in the facility for 5 months already. Since mid-March 2022, it has been providing a broad scale of counselling and information in different areas in order to facilitate the daily life of its residents.
In July, the information that people needed the most was related to the Slovak language courses, labour counselling and employment contracts. Residents of the Gabcikovo facility are eager to work and safe employment is their first step in the integration and taking a new life direction.
This IOM activity has been generously funded by:
Migration Information Centre to Support Integration of Migrants in Slovakia (phase IX, Individual Project). The project is co-funded by the European Union from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). Home Affairs Funds.
