The IOM Migration Information Center (MIC) provided counselling during the “Summer Parade” that was held within the 11th year of the Fjúžn festival in Bratislava in April 2016 and in June 2016 during the World Refugee Day. Directly on site, visitors of both events could receive various information leaflets and advice regarding the residence in Slovakia, acquiring Slovak citizenship and other important areas of life of the foreigners in Slovakia. Several dozen people benefited from counselling of MIC consultants.

IOM - MIC Informed on Assistance in the Integration of Foreigners - Fjúžn festival in Bratislava - April 2016

Except for the IOM assistance to foreigners in their integration in Slovakia, IOM information desks offered visitors information about other IOM activities including assistance to migrants with their return and after their return from Slovakia to their country of origin or information on how not to become a victim of human trafficking. The visitors also had an opportunity to test their knowledge going through catchy quizzes and learn more about interesting facts on various cultures and customs in different parts of the world.

MIC has already been offering services and counselling for foreigners for 10 years (read more).
