Over the last few weeks, IOM Slovakia have provided hygiene kits for people in need from Ukraine and delivered them to assistance centres in Michalovce, Zakovce, Nitra and Bratislava in partnership with the Association of Christian Youth Communities.
Contents of hygiene kits are adapted to women’s, children’s and men’s need. Kits generally include bucket, comb, sponges, nail clipper, laundry detergent, laundry line, toothpastes, toothbrushes, towels, mug, jug, razors, sanitary pads, shampoo, shaving cream, soaps and dishwashing liquid.
1,135 kits were delivered to the large-scale registration centre in Michalovce where people in need are searching for assistance and temporary refuge after crossing the borders to Slovakia.
Organization Caritas – Spišská katolícka Charita received another batch of 1,000 kits for their spots of humanitarian assistance. The kits are further distributed to another 5 spots in Poprad, Kežmarok, Svit Ružomberok and Dolný Kubín.
Another 1,000 kits of humanitarian assistance were provided to the Community Center for Work and Knowledge Mobility (COMIN) in Nitra, 500 kits to Bottova Assistance Centre in Bratislava and 500 kits to the humanitarian distribution centre in Aupark Shopping Mall in Bratislava.
