International Organization for Migration (IOM) in coollaboration with the film director Marcel Pázman created a new documentary film We here at home here that through stories of individual migrants depicts the life of migrants in Slovakia and based on polls of people and basic facts on migration refers to the public attitudes towards migrants and the reality of migration in Slovakia. The film can be seen here:

IOM presented the film on 27 March 2013 at a public presentation in Kino Lumière in Bratislava as well as showcased the methods of working with it in formal and informal education and in raising public awareness of the topic of migration. See photos of the event.

The event was attended by secondary schools' and universities' teachers, representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, methodological centres, organizations being active in the field of migration and integration and the promotion and protection of human rights and freedoms, journalists and representatives of migrant communities.

Film is an outcome of the project We are at home here!, implemented by IOM from October 2012 to March 2013 in Slovakia. Read more about the project and educational materials on migration for teachers and lecturers.
