Mongolian New Year is celebrated on 21 February. IOM Slovakia had the opportunity to organize a requested info session for 38 members of the Mongolian community in Slovakia, ending the gathering with the NYE celebration.

The info session provided the Mongolian community with information regarding their rights and responsibilities in Slovakia, and the conditions for a legal stay in the country. A lawyer from the IOM MIC, Z. Kuban, offered them free legal advice during the Q&A part of the meeting.

Thanks to this meeting, IOM Slovakia MIC has established new connections with the Mongol community, which has been an important milestone achieved in cooperation with IOM Cultural mediator Enkhtuya Renchindorj. Based on the demand directly from the community, more sessions will be organized by IOM Slovakia to strengthen the cooperation.
