International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the coordinator of the European Migration Network (EMN) in Slovakia is organizing an EMN Slovakia’s National Conference Dignified Labour Conditions as a Tool to Fight Modern Slavery which will take place on 1 December 2022 in Bratislava.

The goal of the conference is to support the nascent national debate in defining and implementing the concept and tools against labour exploitation in the Slovak Republic. The conference will also feature good practices and experiences from selected EU and non-EU countries.

The conference aims to engage public administration and state implementing authorities in Slovakia, state administration from EU and non-EU countries, non-governmental organisations and associations, local authorities, intergovernmental organisations, European agencies and foreign embassies, academia and research. Representatives of the EMN National Contact Points from other EU Member States and EMN observers will also take part in the conference.
