On 21 September 2022, IPčko mobile team and IOM team in Kosice organised a first group of psychosocial support for a dozen of Ukrainian children who together with their families found temporary refuge in Slovakia.

Activities focused on children who need to cope with various new situations they might have experienced. Among others, children used projective play to help them discover the world outside themselves through a toy. Furthermore, they participated in group works that showed them how cooperation could facilitate their further community engagement in their current settings.
As a part of the emergency response to the situation in Ukraine, IPčko as the IOM´s implementing partner provides mental health and psychosocial support to people fleeing the war and currently living in Slovakia. People can benefit from psychological first aid, individual psychological counselling, community activities or group sessions.
