During the event in Bratislava on 9 May at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Slovakia's interactive stand, children and adults alike tested their knowledge in a playful way about migration in the world and in Slovakia and how to travel and work safely abroad to avoid the risks of human trafficking.
In addition, students, their teachers, as well as the general public had a chance at the IOM stand to:
- learn about the IOM’s new instructional materials and activities on migration education for teachers,
- discover Destination Europe, the new tabletop activity from the European Migration Network (EMN) for young people aged 16 and above, which teachers can use to discuss international migration and migrant integration,
- learn more about the IOM’s assistance to people from Ukraine who have fled the war and sought refuge in Slovakia;
- and learn about the IOM Migration Information Centre (MIC), which has been assisting migrants in Slovakia for more than 17 years.
