In January 2023, IOM donated 50 folding beds to Volunteer Fire-group in Presov. Occasionally, big groups of displaced people on the run from Ukraine come at the same time and it can be challenging to provide all of them a decent place to sleep. In cases like this, folding beds can serve to numerous people at once.

Volunteer Firefighters can now offer people to sleep overnight in decent conditions. These folding beds will be available for people fleeing war in Ukraine in different accommodations in Presov according to the need.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, IOM has been delivering humanitarian aid to various towns in Slovakia to help people from Ukraine who found a temporary refuge there.
