On 31 March 2022 in Michalovce, International Organization for Migration (IOM) Slovakia conducted a training for 7 frontline healthcare professionals working on caring for trafficked persons and provision them with health assistance.
The participants learn more about the elements of human trafficking, understanding the consequences for a survivor of trafficking, and recognizing key features of a trauma informed care approach for victims of trafficking.

On 1 April 2022 at the Border Point of Entry in Vysne Nemecke, IOM provided a general counter-trafficking training to 18 frontline staff working on Counter Trafficking Awareness. Participants included professionals from the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic, Slovak Red Cross, International Rescue System, Caritas Slovakia, Mareena and Maltese Cross.
